This company has a lot of complaints. A glaring similarity among all of them is the customer service and responses to frustrated purchasers of their products.
This company refuses to take ownership of their poorly performing products and are very condescending and insulting to their customers when they call regarding issues with their products. These items are not often affordable for many and are often in the $500 dollar range. For some, this is a large purchase. I have had many Traxxas models in my lifetime.
I recommended them to my friends and family. My brother bought a Tmaxx as well as my other brother. My friend bout a Jato, me a Revo, and so on. All of them were tricked out with every thing you could imagine.
Thousands of dollars collectively was spent. My referral alone has sold 6-7 models. Fast forward 15 years to November 2020 when we bought a new Revo for our 12 year old son. We have yet to make it through break in as it has many problems.
Just for the record, I have stripped down these models and rebuilt everything from transmissions to engines, so I am well versed. Battery charge was defective out of the box. Carburetor was defective. Fuel tank was clogged.
This has been great fun for my 12 year old son (sarcasm). When I called them they said they would send a new charger (after telling me everything was my fault) but could not tell me what week or month it would ship. I bought a new AC charger (as my 12 year old does not have a vehicle for the included 12v charger) for $80. When I called to complain about the fuel system it was the same routine, blame me for everything, also, they criticized me for spending $80 on a charger and focused on that instead of the real issues (classic deflection).
They had no problems selling me a car for $560, but really let me have it for spending $80 on a charger. I know things are not always perfect and nitro is definitely not always plug and play, but this is a bit too much.
The most disappointing part of all of this is the way they treat their customers....I will never do business with Traxxas again, nor will I recommend them to anyone. In fact, I will do my best to encourage other brands that appreciate their customers.
- Customer service sucks

I ordered a ac dc converter. Realized I didn't need it. Returned it as new and it was sent back to me with no reason.
User's recommendation: Do not buy from Traxxas. Over priced, won't take your returns and sarcastic sales people that seem to think because they know about these toys and you don't, these arrogant *** will be sarcastic if you ask a question, like you're supposed to know everything about the hobby. I do not recommend traxxas products and their support, supposed support..

Verified Reviewer | Milan, LombardyIssues with battery charger
Traxxas cars are amazing models and really entertaining for guys.
We bought our first Traxxas through Amazon-Italy this year at the beginning of November. We were so excited and we could not wait for getting our Rustle 4x4 model.
The product arrived and, as first step, following your instructions, we plugged the battery charger in. Unfortunately we got some troubles with battery charger . The charger was included in the Rustler Traxxas kit but it didnt work at all. Therefore we had to give back the whole kit, inclusive the car, and waited for a couple of weeks before ordering again the same model, Rustler car, through Amazon.
Yesterday it was delivered our new Rustler 4x4 car but again we got troubles with battery charger. However this time it works even if, not properly. After we plugged the charger in, it starts to green flash. The green flash lasts less than 1 minute.
After that it starts again to red flash. It looks like it goes in standby. Again we are experiencing troubles with battery charger. It's a kind of nightmare....and, honestly I'm starting to get disappointed.
It is a very expensive object and the expectation is very high.
But for two times, actually we cannot use the car because of the charger again is not workingI can understand the exception but at this point, it looks like to be not anymore an exception but a fault of the product/charger. I tried to get information through some Italian Traxxas authorized shops but they just told me that actually I need to buy another chargerand I didnt receive a real support. The Rustler we bought cost more than other model also because includes the charger that actually doesn't work. It's not sounding serious for me.
What about you?
Im starting to think Traxxas is not so serious Company like it appears.
At this point I will ask you for helping us on this otherwise I have again give back the whole package of my Traxxas Rustler to Amazon but this time I will start a chain of messages through social media letting people know our bad experience with Traxxas, suggesting them to avoid to buy Traxxas products. I believe it will not be so difficult convince people to stay far from your products considering the prices.
So said and in spite of our bad experience, Im sure you can understand our feeling and disappointment on this.
Therefore as Im still believing, notwithstanding, Traxxas a good customer oriented Company and Im sure you will help us on this to let us to see how our Rustler car can speed up and go. Unfortunately we have not yet gotten the opportunity to see our Rustler car work and this is a shame after three weeks....
I'm looking forward to hearing back from you
Many thanks
Kind regards,
Susanna Tulipani
