New ReviewerNeeds to be a better warranty for batteries that go bad just from sitting around and are not abused. No battery manufacture is perfect and nether is Traxxas
Over the past year I have had 2 Lipo Batteries go bad. One would not charge so I called Traxxas and I had to send the batt in and pay about $80.00 or so for a batt tat had never been used or charged.
Not sure if the batt I just replaced last year has gone batt or the other new one I have had for over a year but one is now so swollen up that it will not fir in the x-maxx tray. Called Traxxas and is there a warranty NO!! have to pay another $80.00 or so dollars I don't have ( disabled on a fixed income but thats my problem) It just makes me mad that it seems to be no warranty on batteries - what a racket. Got a warranty on my Advanced Auto battery that was 1/12 years old but not on batteries from Traxxas.
It just makes me mad when Traxxas use to be such a customer friendly company but not anymore, makes we wish I never started buying Traxxas Lipo Batteries should have stayed with NiMH batteries or purchased from some one else. Very unhappy and saddened buy Traxxas policy's and I own quite a few Traxxas RC cars & trucks
Reason of review: Warranty issue.
Monetary Loss: $260.
Preferred solution: Replace bad battery.
Traxxas Pros: Products, Fast out of box.
Traxxas Cons: Warranty coverage of paying for a covered item, No warranty, Terrible refund policy.
